Fellowship Activities

Activities for Members

The Fellowship has organised various social activities for members, including anniversary celebrations, festive functions and outings. Members have also taken part in other St John activities, including the annual general inspections and functions. Apart from the St. John Newsletter, circulars have been distributed to members to inform them of the latest developments and activities.

Community Services

The Fellowship has organised community projects , including visits and festive activities like Chinese New Year parties, for various charitable homes and organisations, including:

Public Health Talks

To help promote healthy lifestyle, the Fellowship has held a number of medical and health talks for the general publics. The popular topics include Chinese medicine and healthcare, bone fractures and geriatric medicine.

Fund-Raising Projects

The Fellowship had undertaken fund-raising projects for the National St John Council, such as:

  • National St John Donation Draw (23 October 2011) – Raised $103, 162 for the National St John Council
  • “Dancing in Unity” (23 October 2011) – Raised $15, 000 for the St John Day Care Rehabilitation Centre
  • St John Fellowship 18th Anniversary Dinner cum Concert (16 November 2013) – Raised $77, 164 for the St John Heritage Centre and the St John Day Care Rehabilitation Centre
  • St John Art Exhibition (20-23 October 2016) – Raised $120, 000 for the St John Headquarters Renovation Project

In addition, the Fellowship has also supported the National St. John Council’s flag day and other fund-raising projects initiated by the St John Fundraising Committee.

Networking Activities

The Fellowship has continued to reach out to other social groups and the public through joint projects, including those of Community Clubs, Lion Befrienders, and the YMCA.

St John Heritage Centre

The Fellowship helped set up the Heritage Centre in 2012, and has since been tasked to manage the centre and continue to enhance it.

Other Undertakings

The Fellowship has been tasked by the National St John Council to organise a number of events, including the Welcome Dinner for Overseas Guests attending the Priory Inauguration in 2014, the Priory of Singapore Anniversary Celebrations Dinner in 2015, and the St John 130th Anniversary Dinner in 2015.
